WILDLIFE AND NATURAL SCIENCE ART
I  have lived and worked in the Charleston, South Carolina area as  a professional
artist/illustrator for over 40 years. I was Born in Florence, South Carolina and spent
my formative  years in Cary,  North Carolina.  My father, who was a scientist as well
as an accomplished artist himself, was my greatest influence.
I attended both Midlands Technical college and Trident Technical College as well
the College of Charleston. I am a retired marine biologist with the South Carolina
Department of Natural Resources.  I have pursued my artistic interests through
my marine biology work as well as a side line. I have worked and studied at the
Smithsonian Institute of Natural Science as well.

I am now displaying my work in various fine art venues in the Charleston area. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to   have a private show sponsored by Rick Rhodes Studio and gallery in Charleston. I have been juried in and participated in the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) in Charleston for the past two years. I am a juried member of the Charleston Artists Guild and am an exhibitor in the CAG Art Gallery. I have shown my work through various other venues such as the Piccolo Spoleto Juried Art Exhibition and the First Federal Peoples Choice Art Exhibit,  as well as other local art shows and  events.
I continue my interest in wildlife and natural science art and photography surrounded by the wonderful natural areas of my Edisto River home in the Low Country of South Carolina.
